ARTIST NOTES: Being in physical isolation has led me to some dark hours, but unexpectedly followed by a strange freedom in my spiritual experience. The real and tangible things that matter in life quietly emerged on the surface of consciousness. The beauty and worthiness of being itself became visible in its simplest form. To reflect the journey of my soul, this series of my work was created with colours and strokes that are concise, stable, graceful, and atmospheric. I hoped to capture the formation of consciousness and the unplanned insights in a non-definitive style.

ARTIST BIO Pei is a Chinese-born artist who has been practising art for over two decades. Her oil painting is recognizable for its rich, bold colours and poetic art styles.
