ARTIST BIO

I am an emerging artist.  Joining Gallery 247 is my venture into the public sphere of art evaluation. I was a member of the Ringwood Artist Society.  I  study under tutor, Michael Goff.   In a previous life I dedicated my time to education.

Painting in oil has now become my passion, striving to paint the natural landscape and people in my social world.   I am concerned to  paint the elusive atmosphere of the Australian natural world in a loosely painted style with attention to composition, colour, tone, form and light.  This is an exhilarating journey.

I enjoy painting a range of genres.  I really like painting portraits and enjoy the challenge of achieving a good likeness.  All my family members have had their portraits painted.

I continue to challenge myself and to paint regularly.
