ARTIST NOTES: "Lyrebird Spotting" is an impressionistic oil painting of an Australian Native icon. Lyrebirds are notoriously difficult to spot in the wild. The artists has used a fingerpainting technique to create beautiful glistening moonlight to highlight the startled pose of the lyrebird within the composition.
